The International Journal of Poultry Science (IJPS) is committed to transparency and integrity in scholarly publishing. All participants in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members, are expected to disclose any financial or non-financial relationships, activities, or interests that could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, their professional judgment or the presentation, review, or editorial evaluation of a manuscript.

Authors

Authors must disclose all relevant conflicts of interest at the time of manuscript submission. These may include financial relationships, employment, consultancies, honoraria, grants, stock ownership or options, patents, paid expert testimony, personal relationships, academic competition, professional affiliations, or other interests that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation.

For studies involving poultry feeds, feed additives, veterinary products, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, equipment, commercial poultry products, breeding technologies, or other products or services with a potential commercial interest, authors must disclose relevant relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, sponsors, or other organizations that may have an interest in the research findings.

The existence of a conflict of interest does not automatically prevent publication. The purpose of disclosure is to allow editors, reviewers, and readers to evaluate the work with appropriate transparency.

Funding and Sponsor Involvement

Authors must identify all sources of financial and material support for the research. Where applicable, the role of the funder or sponsor in study design, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, or the decision to submit the work for publication should be clearly stated.

Authors should retain appropriate access to their research data and should not enter into agreements that improperly restrict their ability to analyze, interpret, or publish their findings independently.

Peer Reviewers

Reviewers must disclose any relationship or interest that could affect, or reasonably be perceived to affect, their ability to provide an objective and impartial assessment of a manuscript. Such conflicts may arise from financial interests, personal or professional relationships, recent collaborations, academic competition, institutional relationships, or other relevant circumstances.

A reviewer who believes that a conflict may interfere with an impartial evaluation should inform the journal and decline the review. Reviewers must not use confidential information obtained through peer review for personal, professional, academic, or financial advantage.

Editors and Editorial Board Members

Editors and editorial board members must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and must not participate in the editorial evaluation or decision-making process for a manuscript when a conflict could compromise, or reasonably appear to compromise, their impartiality.

When an editor or editorial board member has a relevant conflict, responsibility for the manuscript will be assigned to another qualified editor who is not affected by that conflict.

Submissions from Editors and Editorial Board Members

Manuscripts submitted by editors, editorial board members, or individuals closely associated with the journal will be handled through the journal's established peer review process without involvement of the submitting editor or board member in reviewer selection, evaluation, or the final editorial decision. Editorial position or association with the journal will not provide preferential treatment.

Disclosure in Published Articles

Relevant conflicts of interest disclosed by authors will be included in the published article where appropriate. If the authors have no relevant conflicts of interest to declare, the article may include a statement indicating that no conflicts of interest were declared.

Failure to Disclose

If an undisclosed conflict of interest is identified during the editorial process, the journal may request clarification or additional disclosure and may take appropriate editorial action. If a significant undisclosed conflict is identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, an editorial notice, or take other action appropriate to the circumstances and the integrity of the scholarly record.
