Articles Processing Charges
The International Journal of Poultry Science (IJPS) is a fully open access journal. To support the costs associated with editorial administration, peer review management, production, online publication, digital preservation, and journal infrastructure, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to manuscripts accepted for publication.
Article Processing Charge
The Article Processing Charge for an accepted manuscript is:
USD 275 per accepted article
The APC becomes payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication.
No Submission Fee
The journal does not charge a submission fee. Authors may submit manuscripts for editorial consideration without making any payment.
No Additional Publication Charges
In addition to the stated APC, the journal does not charge authors any mandatory page charges, colour charges, editorial processing charges, or other supplementary publication fees.
The stated APC therefore represents the total mandatory publication charge for a standard accepted article.
APC and Editorial Decisions
Payment of the APC has no influence on the editorial evaluation, peer review, or acceptance of a manuscript. Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts solely on their scholarly quality, relevance, originality, methodological soundness, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical requirements.
No payment is required before a final acceptance decision is made. The ability or inability of an author to pay the APC does not influence the peer review process or the editorial decision.
Waivers and Discounts
The journal provides an APC waiver and discount mechanism for eligible authors. Requests are considered in accordance with the journal's Waiver Policy.
Authors who wish to request a waiver or discount should follow the eligibility requirements and application procedure described in the Waiver Policy.
Waiver or discount requests are handled separately from the academic evaluation of the manuscript and do not influence editorial or peer review decisions.
Payment Following Acceptance
Following formal acceptance, the corresponding author will receive information regarding the applicable APC and authorized payment instructions from the journal.
Authors should make payments only through payment methods officially communicated by the journal or stated on an official invoice issued for the accepted manuscript.
Changes to the APC
The journal may review its Article Processing Charge periodically. Any change to the APC will be clearly published on the journal website. The applicable APC will be communicated to authors in accordance with the journal's published fee information.
